Students are constantly pushing the limits with their social media posts, whether they are commenting about their peers, about school staff or larger societal issues. In this session, participants will learn how to analyze student social media activity and determine whether or not it requires action by the school district. Participants will see examples of student posts regarding peers and school staff members, and understand when and how to respond. Finally, participants will learn when learn enforcement must be involved, and the role of schools after such a contact is made. Live Air Date: February 5, 2019.
